UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY – The chemical compound of ZeroR® Refrigerant will safely bond with the compounds of R134a, R1234YF, R12 and more! Due to EPA regulations, we can not advise you to use this product in any system type except R134a despite it being chemically compatible with most refrigerant types.

SAFE – ZeroR® AC Refrigerant has a 2.1 hazmat flammability rating just like the new R1234YF which is now used in 100% of newly manufactured vehicles. Under normal operating conditions this product presents no danger to your system or its users when handled properly.

ECO FRIENDLY – ZeroR® AC Refrigerant is a 100% Natural gas unlike R-134a and R-12. R134a is harmful to the environment and is being replaced with R1234YF under EPA regulations.

VALUE – The net weight when compressed is 6oz but it is equal to 16oz of R134a once installed! (See Conversion Chart). On average about 1 can less of this product is needed than R134a and other refrigerants!

Is R134a being discontinued?

R134a is no longer be approved for use in new light-duty vehicles (everyone’s regular cars and trucks) made or sold in the United States after the model year 2021 as a result of EPA’s July 2015 final rule under SNAP (July 20, 2015, 80 FR 42870). Servicing of existing vehicles using R134a with R134a will not be impacted and will continue to be allowed until these systems fail from use and are removed.

How long does a can of R134a last?

In general, R134a will last in storage on the shelf for at least 10 years under normal storage conditions. The best storage condition is a clean, dry location that is out of direct sunlight.

What is the replacement for R134a?

As of 2022 and beyond, most auto manufacturers are using the R1234yf as the replacement refrigerant of choice for R134a.

How many cans of R134a do I need?

Assuming an car air conditioning system that is empty of refrigerant, most modern cars, two cans will do a complete replacement job. You might need 3 cans for very big or older cars. It’s important to note that a cars’ need isn’t based on the number of “cans” of refrigerant, the required amount is generally based on pounds or ounces of refrigerant. When just topping off a system you most likely will require one can or less.
